  • What is TMS?

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a non-invasive electromagnetic device, FDA approved for the treatment for Major Depressive Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and off label for other MH conditions. Treatment is covered by most insurance plans.

WHY TMS: Most people who struggle with severe treatment resistant depression can benefit from TMS Therapy because the procedure allows an electro- magnetic device to release magnetic current that travels deep to the brain regions involved in mood control and depression. The stimulation of neurons in this region helps improve symptoms of depression, OCD e.tc.

How long do I need this therapy? TMS is an outpatient procedure that is usually done 5 times per week for 4-6 weeks. Each TMS Therapy session lasts 20-30 minutes long and is performed while you are awake, alert in a more relaxed and in a comfortable state.
